My cleaning service website design service helps cleaning businesses explain what a job covers before a prospective customer asks for a price. Rooms, surfaces, visit frequency, and service areas are organised so people can identify the service they need. I am Dicky Ibrohim, a web engineer and technical lead, and you discuss your website requirements directly with me.
A list of cleaning packages may leave customers unsure whether a particular task is included. Your website can explain the differences and lead them to WhatsApp or email with enough context for an initial conversation. The work follows the way your business receives enquiries and prepares quotations.
Explain the work included in each cleaning service
Start with the services you actually provide. Regular home cleaning, office cleaning, and cleaning after renovation may need different explanations. Package names help people find their way around the site; lists of rooms, surfaces, and tasks explain what the work covers.
For example, an office cleaning page could distinguish floors and desks from the inside of cupboards or exterior windows. If a task needs further assessment, that detail belongs beside the scope description. Prospective customers should not have to guess whether a photograph of a clean room means every object in it is included.
Frequency also matters. A one-off visit may cover different work from a recurring service at the same property. I help organise those differences into connected pages or sections, using the information and terms supplied by your business.
Service names need to reflect the work performed. The CDC distinguishes cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting; these terms do not mean the same thing. The service page should therefore mention disinfection only if it is actually offered, within the scope your business describes. Information about methods and products comes from the people responsible for that work.
Put prices in context before the first enquiry
A price per square metre, per hour, or per visit is useful only when the reader knows what is being measured. If you publish rates, show the unit, included work, any minimum order, and circumstances that require a separate quotation. A starting price should not appear to cover every condition a room might be in.
Floor area, for example, can be one part of a quotation without explaining the number of bathrooms or additional tasks. The website can help readers prepare those details before asking for a price. Your business determines the rates and calculation method; I help present them clearly.
Useful information for an initial conversation may include:
- The type of property and its general location, such as a home in a particular district or an office in a named area.
- Approximate floor area, the rooms or surfaces to be cleaned, and whether the request is for a one-off or recurring service.
- The preferred time and any aspects of the work that need further discussion.
“Ask about office cleaning on WhatsApp” gives a clearer direction than “Book now” when your team still needs to assess the request. A preferred appointment time is not a confirmed arrival until your business confirms it. This basic enquiry route uses WhatsApp or email; price calculators, forms, payments, and team scheduling require a separate scope discussion.
Service areas describe where your team can travel, rather than proving that you have a branch in every location. Any applicable travel charges or coverage limits can accompany the service information. The pricing conversation can then begin with a relevant location and scope of work.
Show completed work while respecting customers' private spaces
Before-and-after photographs can help explain the work you undertake. Choose genuine images that you have permission to publish, describe what was cleaned, and use pairs that allow a fair comparison. An individual result is an example, rather than a promise that every surface will respond in the same way.
Permission to clean a property is different from permission to publish photographs of it. Check whether an image shows occupants, documents on a desk, a house number, or personal belongings that do not need to appear. If the available material is unsuitable for publication, an accurate scope description is more useful than a fabricated result. Testimonials should also use genuine statements with appropriate permission.
Photographs sent for a quotation serve a different purpose from a public gallery. At the first enquiry, customers only need to provide relevant information; a full address and more detailed photographs can be discussed through an agreed channel when needed. A website does not need occupants' personal details simply to explain a service.
The same distinction matters when choosing website and analytics services. Public service descriptions, visitor statistics, customer messages, technical logs, and administrator access concern different types of information. Who can see them depends on the architecture, permissions, settings, and provider policies. Technical access does not by itself grant permission to use information for another purpose.
During the project discussion, we can consider whether analytics is needed, what data it would collect and why, who receives it, and how retention and export would work. Custom websites that use third-party hosting or analytics also have these data flows. The GOV.UK cloud guide, written for the UK public sector, also discusses provider management and data access. These considerations help clarify responsibilities before choosing a service.
Why choose a custom website with me
A custom website gives us room to organise services around the decisions a prospective customer needs to make. A business serving both homes and offices might have separate starting points, while keeping explanations of recurring and one-off work consistent. I help turn those relationships into a page structure, price presentation, and contact route within the agreed project scope.
This approach also helps when the business changes. If you introduce recurring office cleaning, we can assess which parts need a new explanation, examples of work, or a different contact route. The visual identity and presentation of services can be planned together. Further development depends on technical assessment, time, and cost.
A SaaS website builder is a subscription service operated by its provider; some offer free plans. It can be sufficient if its service layouts, photo capacity, and editing facilities meet your needs. Check plan limits, content rules, integrations, and the terms for changing or withdrawing features. A change to gallery capacity, for example, could affect how much work you can display. Some platforms also support your own domain.
With a custom website, requirements such as grouping photographs by room or connecting services to coverage areas can be discussed directly, without having to follow an entire ready-made package layout. Control still depends on the project agreement. Rights to content, editing access, accounts, licences, and source code are separate matters. Source code is not automatically handed over and may not be available for handover.
If a platform has an outage, discontinues a service, or closes, the business needs to know how it can retrieve its material and continue its website. Exporting text and photographs does not necessarily produce a website that will run elsewhere. GOV.UK guidance on technical lock-in addresses dependencies and exit planning. My offer also needs to clarify access, available backups, documentation, compatibility with the destination, rights, and migration costs. A custom website is not a promise of freedom from dependencies or outages.
What an engineer contributes when AI can build websites
AI can help draft text and code, but the result still needs to be checked against the actual service. For example, it could turn an hourly rate per cleaner into a rate for an entire team, or describe everything shown in a photograph as part of the package. Those mistakes change the offer even when the page looks polished. OWASP describes misinformation risks in AI models, including convincing but incorrect output.
In my work, AI is an aid that I direct and review. For a cleaning business website, a check can follow a complete task: choosing a service, understanding its scope and pricing unit, and opening the right contact channel with an appropriate message. Content is checked against your material, while functionality and presentation are reviewed within the agreed scope. Working directly with an engineer connects those business requirements to technical decisions.
Files shared with AI also need careful selection. Interior photographs, precise addresses, and customer conversations are not needed just to create an example page. OWASP's guidance on sensitive information disclosure provides a basis for considering the data and access involved. The tool's policies still need to be checked; AI providers do not all handle information in the same way.
Building a website yourself with AI can be suitable if you are prepared to assess the content, test its functions, and manage it after launch. My service is useful when you want to discuss those decisions with the person handling development, including which work to prioritise before adding features. Using AI during development also does not mean that the resulting website needs to run paid AI features.
Help visitors read and choose a service
A clear structure needs to remain usable on a phone, laptop, or desktop computer. Scope descriptions, pricing units, and contact buttons should be easy to find without relying on small text embedded in images. Galleries should explain the work, with image sizes and presentation considered within the development scope.
Link labels describe their destination, such as “See the recurring cleaning scope” or “Ask about a service by email”. This follows W3C guidance on link purpose in context. The aim is to help readers choose an action, as well as making the button visible.
SEO, security, and performance foundations are usually discussed during the build, according to the offer. Clear service names and pages that explain actual coverage are more useful than repeating many town names without additional information. Google's SEO Starter Guide is one reference for content organisation and technical foundations. This work does not guarantee indexing, rankings, traffic, AI citations, or enquiry numbers. SEO campaigns and regular content production have their own scope.
Compare build costs, ongoing work, and support
Website cost follows the work required: the depth of service descriptions, the amount of content and number of languages, photo readiness, and editing facilities. If you want to change prices or coverage yourself, identify which parts need to be editable. Editing facilities and user training depend on the offer, rather than an assumption that every website has the same administration panel.
When comparing an individual provider, an agency, or a platform, compare equivalent scopes. A lower price does not tell you whether the content organisation, contact checks, access, licences, and support you need are included. You can discuss priorities directly with me so that the cost decision follows work that is useful to your business.
For recurring costs, check the domain, hosting, image storage, licences, and any update support you choose. On a subscription platform, distinguish promotional prices from renewals, extra features, usage, and exit costs. Also check the terms for price changes, including increases, and the applicable notice requirements. A custom website also has operating costs; a fair comparison uses the same needs and period, rather than assuming one option is always cheaper.
Security and maintenance need someone responsible for them after launch. OWASP A06:2021 describes the risks of vulnerable or outdated components. I have experience handling websites affected by malware. Clients can discuss a tailored offer for relevant assistance, with scope, fees, and terms determined by the case. This does not mean free cleanup, round-the-clock monitoring, or a guarantee against reinfection. Service terms are available on the terms page.
Start with the services that most need explaining
To discuss your website, prepare your business name, priority services, scope of work, pricing basis if available, service areas, and the phone number or email that receives enquiries. Use only photographs you are entitled to share. Customer personal information is not needed to begin the discussion.
We can review that material, identify the necessary structure and functions, then discuss the offer, work schedule, and responsibility for updates. Before publication, checks follow the agreed scope, including the accuracy of service information and contact routes. The offer clarifies which access and documents will be handed over.
Read my profile for an introduction to my work. Then send your priority services and coverage through the contact form, or email hello@dickyibrohim.com. With that information, we can discuss a website that helps prospective customers understand your work before requesting a quotation.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a cleaning business website cost?
Cost depends on the service structure, amount of content and number of languages, photo readiness, and editing facilities. The breakdown should distinguish the build from the domain, hosting, licences, and ongoing assistance. Send your priority services through the contact form to discuss the scope.
Should the website display cleaning prices?
Rates can be published when their basis is clear. Show the unit, included work, any minimum order, and conditions that require a separate quotation. If pricing needs an assessment of the property or tasks, the website can explain which initial details to prepare.
Does a WhatsApp button confirm an appointment?
No. It opens a conversation about the service and preferred time. Your business must confirm the team, price, and appointment. A system that manages schedules automatically is a different requirement.
Can the website show before-and-after cleaning photographs?
This can be discussed using genuine photographs that you are entitled to publish. Check permission and any private details visible, then explain the work shown. Photographs sent for a quotation do not automatically become gallery material.
Can I update prices and coverage myself?
Editing facilities can be planned according to the offer. Identify which parts can be changed, who manages them, and what assistance is needed. Access to update content is different from access to every function, design element, or the source code.
Will I receive the source code, and can the website be moved?
Source code is not automatically handed over and may not be available for handover. Migration depends on access, rights, licences, formats, destination compatibility, and cost. Exporting text or photographs alone does not mean the whole website will run on another host.
