This home service business website design service builds websites for businesses that send someone to the customer's home or office. That covers cleaning companies, pest control, AC servicing, laundries, septic tank emptying (sedot WC), and handymen. Customers see your services, starting prices, written guarantees, and the areas you cover, then book through WhatsApp. The licences you hold appear with their numbers. I design and code every one of these sites myself, working as a website engineer and technical lead.
In short
- A page for each service with a starting price, what is included, and the guarantee in writing.
- A service area list that matches your Google Business Profile, with no home address on show if customers never come to you.
- A licences page with your business identification number (NIB) and the technical licences each service needs, such as the vector control licence for pest control.
- A WhatsApp order button that already carries the type of service, the district, and the preferred schedule.
- The domain and accounts sit in your business's name, and nobody takes a commission on any order.
- One build fee. Afterwards the domain recurs, plus a server if you pick one, and malware cleanup is free for 3 months. Start with the form on the homepage.
Customers find home services through Google, Maps, and now AI
Indonesia had about 230 million internet users at the end of 2025, according to DataReportal. BrightLocal ran its 2026 survey among consumers in the United States, not Indonesia. It found that 97 percent of respondents read online reviews. The share using ChatGPT or another AI tool to find local businesses rose from 6 percent to 45 percent. The pattern deserves attention, because people more and more often put the question to an AI. They type something like "nearest AC cleaning in Bekasi with a guarantee".
Service marketplaces help you land your first orders, but they take a commission and can change their rules. Gojek, for example, shut down GoClean and GoMassage in July 2020, and partners who depended on those services had to find new channels. A website in your own business's name, together with Google Business Profile and WhatsApp, is a channel that stays yours.
Each service needs a different licence
Since 15 June 2026, OSS, the government's online licensing system, has used KBLI 2025 codes for new applications, and existing licences stay valid. Home services look alike from the outside. Their risks differ widely, though. So do their licences.
| Service | KBLI 2025 code | What to show |
|---|---|---|
| Home and office cleaning | 81210 | NIB; low risk for micro businesses |
| Pest control and termite control | 81290 | NIB and the vector control Standard Certificate (Sertifikat Standar) from the health office |
| Home AC servicing | 95220 | NIB; AC installation in buildings falls under another code and needs an SBU |
| Laundry, including pick-up and delivery | 96100 | NIB; the old code 96200 is not used for new licences |
| Septic tank emptying | 37001 | NIB and a domestic waste transport permit as the region requires |
For pest control, Article 36 of Minister of Health Regulation 2/2023 requires vector control providers to be a business entity holding an operating licence. Article 37 requires the pesticides they use to be licensed. You can match your brands against the Ministry of Agriculture's registered pesticide information system. Minister of Agriculture Regulation 43/2019 also places settlements and households within the scope of pesticide use. The website shows your licence number and only those pesticide brands that are actually registered.
Septic tank emptying is also regulated by the regions. In Jakarta, Governor Regulation 1/2018 requires faecal sludge to go to a sludge treatment plant (IPLT), and your website can say where your sludge ends up. AC installation in buildings and building painting count as construction work, which needs a business entity certificate (SBU). So the words "AC contractor" appear on the site only if you hold that certificate.
Starting prices and written guarantees
Home service customers ask two things more than anything else: what it will cost, and what happens if the job goes wrong. Each service page answers both. The starting price uses the usual unit for the trade. That means per PK for AC units (PK is the horsepower rating used in Indonesia), per kilogram for laundry, per square metre for cleaning, or per pump-out for septic tanks. Below it, the page lists what is included, when extra charges apply, and the guarantee.
Article 26 of the Consumer Protection Law obliges service businesses to honour any guarantee they agreed or promised. Article 16 asks them to keep the completion times they promised on orders. So each guarantee carries its conditions. One example is an AC service guarantee of a set number of days for the same complaint. Another is a termite guarantee with scheduled re-inspections. A promise you cannot keep is better left off the page altogether.
Article 9 paragraph 1, letters j and k, forbids words like "safe" or "harmless" without full information, and it forbids promises that are not yet certain. So "100% safe for children and pets" or "termite-free forever" gives way to plain facts. The page names the product used, how long the room has to stay empty, and when the follow-up visit is due.
Refrigerant types on AC service pages
AC technicians get asked about refrigerant (freon) all the time. Minister of Environment/BPLH Regulation 25/2025 limits imports of R-22, an ozone-depleting substance, to the maintenance of refrigeration equipment and fire extinguishers. Your AC service page names the refrigerants you handle, for example R-32 for newer units and R-22 for older ones. Customers then know what will be done to their unit before the technician arrives.
Service areas that match your Google Business Profile
A home service business that does not receive customers at its premises must hide its address on Google Business Profile. The profile can hold up to 20 service areas, entered as cities or postal codes, and together they should stay within roughly 2 hours' drive of your base. Your website lists the same areas instead of a street address, so the two sources agree.
Each service can be added to the profile as a custom service with a description and a price. Its name, however, may not contain a price or a phone number. The booking link on the profile points to WhatsApp or to the matching service page on your website. Google's country list for Local Services Ads does not include Indonesia yet, so for now this profile and your website are the main way to be found without paying for ads.
A city page gets built only when its content really differs: photos of jobs in that city, transport fees, or technician schedules. Dozens of city pages with the same text count as doorway pages under Google's spam policies, and they can drag down the whole website.
Google reviews collected the legitimate way
Google's content policy forbids offering discounts or free services in return for reviews. It also forbids asking only happy customers. Your website and the closing WhatsApp message can carry a review link for every customer. Testimonials appear on the website with the customer's permission, and there are no star ratings you made up yourself.
Booking through WhatsApp, asking only for what the job needs
The order button opens WhatsApp with a message that already holds four things. They are the type of service, the district (kecamatan), the number of units or the floor area, and the preferred schedule. The full address waits until a schedule is agreed. Customers may send photos of the AC unit, the room, or the corner eaten by termites if they want to, since photos help the technician bring the right tools. The approach follows Law 27/2022 on Personal Data Protection: collect only the data you really need.
For most home service businesses, this WhatsApp route is enough. A booking system with technician schedules and online payment only makes sense once you employ at least one admin and chat can no longer cope with the orders. Such a system costs a great deal more to build and run, so take your time before committing to one. I explain the trade-offs in the article on catalogue stores with WhatsApp orders.
Technician certificates and association membership
Technician competency certificates from BNSP, the national professional certification agency, can be looked up on the BNSP certificate check page. Your website shows them if your team has them. Even so, I found no rule that makes them mandatory for home AC technicians. Pest control companies that belong to ASPPHAMI, the pest control association, can link to its verified member list. Both help customers trust you before they let a stranger into their home.
The website is targeted to pass Core Web Vitals. Customers usually look for help when something has already gone wrong, and they do it on a phone. Built the same way, the site you are reading scored 94 on Lighthouse mobile on 12 October 2026. Its content is arranged so that AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity can quote it.
Tracking if the business advertises
If you advertise on Google or Meta, you can measure taps on the WhatsApp button per service and per area. The tracking code comes from your own ad account and starts only after the visitor agrees. Without ads, the website carries no tracker at all.
Website security, with free malware cleanup for 3 months
On a hacked service website, the WhatsApp number behind the order button can be swapped, so customers end up messaging a scammer who uses your business name. The websites I build are secured to the standard of this site, which scored A+ on securityheaders.com and Mozilla HTTP Observatory on 12 October 2026. Rerun the tests yourself. How the protection works stays off this page on purpose, so it cannot serve as a guide for intruders.
If malware gets in during the first 3 months after launch, I clean it up for free. Your proof of payment states that 3-month period, while other packages range from 1 to 6 months. The cleanup removes the malicious code, restores files from the latest backup, and closes the gap in the website I handed over. What you get is a cleanup service; losses are not compensated.
Once the guarantee ends, cleanup is charged as separate work, and a severe case can run to tens of millions of rupiah. The guarantee excludes passwords shared with technicians or admins, infected phones, changes by other people, and outages at the server or domain provider. Components left outdated after the guarantee expires without renewal are excluded too. The full terms sit on the terms page. I am comfortable offering this because cleaning malware off websites is routine work for me.
Cost: paid once, with no commission per order
A home service website is paid for once, in stages, against a written breakdown. There is no per-order cut. The running cost is the domain, plus a server if you choose one, although a service website that takes orders through WhatsApp usually needs no monthly server.
Support after handover is optional. If you take it, you get fixes, component updates, and a limited amount of help on request. You update prices, areas, and job photos yourself through the panel. If you later need a new service, area pages with their own content, or a booking system, that work comes with a special offer.
Ready to use in your business's name, with source code only if needed
You receive a ready-to-use website. The built files live on your business domain, the domain and accounts are in your name, and you get a management panel plus handover documents. You can move the website to another hosting provider whenever you like. If someone else takes over its care one day, my access is revoked and the website keeps running.
Source code, the project files needed to rebuild the website from scratch, is not part of the default package. For a service business, leaving it out keeps the cost down. You can still change the content through the panel, and my support covers the version I handed over. Source code is worth buying if you have your own developer or plan to build a technician scheduling app. It is priced on its own at a much higher rate, and licensed components can make it unavailable.
Choosing between AI on your own, an unclear agency, a free template, or an engineer
| Consideration | Building it yourself with AI | An agency with no clear accountability | A free hosting template | Built by an engineer (this service) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claims | "100% safe, termite-free forever" | Depends | None | Products used, follow-up schedule, conditional guarantee |
| Areas | Dozens of templated city pages | Often sells "SEO per city" packages | A single page | The same areas as your Google Business Profile |
| Licences | "Officially licensed" with no number | Not discussed | None | NIB and the technical licences each service needs |
| Reviews | Star ratings it made up | Sometimes buys reviews | A review widget | A review link for every customer |
| Security | Nobody keeps watch | Untested | Updated together with thousands of other sites | Tested with public tools, free cleanup for 3 months |
| Yearly cost | AI tool and site builder subscriptions | A monthly retainer | Free until you need a feature | The domain, plus a server if chosen |
AI writes service pages fast, but it often adds promises that the Consumer Protection Law forbids. It also churns out repeated city pages that Google treats as spam. I look at similar mistakes in the case of an online store built entirely by AI. An agency with no clear accountability sometimes sells reviews or mass city pages, and your business is the one that pays for it. A free template is fine for a single page with a phone number, but it was never designed to carry prices, guarantees, and areas for each service.
Who is behind this home service business website design?
I run this home service business website design work myself. I am Dicky Ibrohim, website engineer and technical lead, and my work profile is on the about page. I build websites and apps, fix broken ones, and clean up those hit by malware, and I have handled thousands of cases. AI helps with the repetitive parts, then I test the result myself. That includes tapping the order button on every service page until WhatsApp opens with the right message.
I am not a licensing consultant, a pest control expert, or an AC technician. Prices, guarantees, licences, and product information come from you. The material I create is licensed to you, and you vouch for the photos and text you provide.
Process: from the first message to going live
- Tell me about your business through the form on the homepage: the services you offer, the areas you cover, and the licences you hold.
- A written offer follows within one or two business days of your message. It sets out the pages, the work schedule, the cost of each stage, server needs, the malware guarantee period, and what support covers.
- A short interview about prices, guarantees, areas, and the complaints customers raise most often.
- Text and design: I prepare them, then you check them, above all the starting prices and the guarantee conditions.
- Testing on a phone: the order button for each service and the review link get tried until they work.
- Launch, after which I hand over the access, the ownership documents, and a guide to changing your prices.
What you need to prepare
- Business name, NIB, and any technical licences, such as a vector control licence.
- Your services with starting prices, what each includes, and the guarantee conditions.
- Your service areas, up to 20 cities or districts.
- The product or pesticide brands you use, and the refrigerant types you handle if you service AC units.
- Your own job photos, WhatsApp number, and Google Business Profile account if you already have one.
Eight questions to ask before choosing who builds your home service website
- Does my home address have to appear? (No. A list of service areas is enough.)
- Does each service get its own page? (Yes, with a starting price and a guarantee.)
- Will there be a page for every city? (Only when its content really differs.)
- Which licences are listed? (Your NIB and the technical licences you actually hold.)
- Who owns the domain and accounts? (Your business.)
- What happens if the website gets malware? (I clean it up at no charge if it happens in the first 3 months, as stated on the proof of payment.)
- Which costs recur? (Only the domain, and a server if you opt for one.)
- Can a booking system be added later? (Yes, with a special offer, once chat is no longer enough.)
First step: send me your services and service areas
Customers call the home service business whose prices are clear, whose guarantee is written down, whose licence can be checked, and whose area covers their street. A website that holds all of that, in line with your Google Business Profile, is what this home service business website design service delivers.
Send your service list and areas through the form on the homepage, or email them to hello@dickyibrohim.com. I will reply with a proposed page structure, a cost breakdown, and an estimated launch date.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a home service business website cost?
The build is paid for once, in stages, with a written breakdown. After launch, only the domain recurs, plus a server if you choose one, and nobody takes a commission on your orders. The amount depends on how many services and areas you have; I send it after you fill in the form on the homepage.
Which KBLI code covers cleaning services and pest control?
Home and office cleaning uses 81210, while pest control uses 81290 together with a vector control Standard Certificate from the health office. Laundry now uses 96100, and home AC servicing uses 95220.
Does a pest control business need a licence from the health office?
Yes. Minister of Health Regulation 2/2023 requires vector control providers to be a business entity with an operating licence, and the pesticides they use must be registered. The website shows the licence number and the pesticide brands.
How do I appear on Google Maps without a shop address?
Register your Google Business Profile as a business that serves customers at their location, hide the address, then add up to 20 service areas. The website lists the same areas so the details match.
Do I need a separate website page for every city?
Only when the content really differs, such as photos of jobs, transport fees, or technician schedules in that city. City pages that repeat the same text count as doorway pages under Google's spam policies.
How should I write AC service prices on the website?
Give a starting price per PK or per unit, what it includes, when extra charges apply (a refrigerant top-up, for example), and the guarantee. Name the refrigerant types you handle as well.
A website or a service marketplace: which is better?
The two can run side by side. A marketplace helps with early orders but takes a commission and can change its rules, while a website and a Google Business Profile stay channels you own.
Can I give a discount to customers who write a Google review?
No. Google's policy forbids rewards for reviews and forbids asking only satisfied customers. Send the review link to every customer.
Do I receive the source code?
By default you get a ready-to-use website on your business domain, with a panel and handover documents, and it can move to any hosting. Source code is a separate option that costs far more and is not always available; the offer states where it stands.
What if my service website gets malware?
If it happens within 3 months of launch, as written on the proof of payment, the cleanup is free; other packages give 1 to 6 months. It is a cleanup service, not compensation; the details are on the terms page.
